STAGE 1
  • Conduct desktop analysis through data gathering, risk analysis, developing initial risk level and risk framework.
  • Development of an evidence-based Risk Matrix incorporating crash data, physical barriers, and user perceptions.
  • Carry out school prioritisation, assign school risk level categories based on the risk framework.
STAGE 2
  • Conduct site visit evaluating access routes, footpaths, crossings, signage, and facilities to identify site deficiencies and identify potential safety improvements for each school.
  • Preparation of site-specific intervention packages, including tactile paving, surface upgrades, curb ramps, signage improvements, and speed management.
  • Prioritisation of upgrades into a 3-year capital programme based on benefit-cost ratios, feasibility, and inclusive design.
